What is vWHS?

Through a RS-232 port option, the server sends live-time metadata for all of your music feeds to NuVo or Russound keypads for artist, album, track, & current status info. For NuVo, add the NV-NNA to get browsing of music by album, artist, genre, & more!

Beyond playing your archived CDs, the multizone audio option also allows you to access tens of thousands of internet radio stations through ShoutCast, gently fall asleep to music, or even use the system as an alarm clock!

Easily archive your favourite movie & music discs! Open the disc tray, inserts, and closes! The system identifies the unencrypted CD, DVD, or Blu-ray, & starts the appropriate archiving process! No confusing interfaces, remotes, or clicking. Just simply 1-Step!
Lossless, original archiving
VidaBox systems archive & store all content in its pure, original form - meaning you get the complete discs content, including all extras, subtitles, alternate audio tracks, etc. There's zero compression, so you can enjoy your content later in pristine, original form.
Complete & automatic metadata tagging
For music CDs, DVD, and Blu-rays, we search across multiple, international databases to find the right metadata and tags the content appropriately as its being archived!

Need to quickly archive tons of discs? Add up to (4) ThinDiscs to your server! ThinDiscs are modular & can be added at any time to increase archiving capacity, allowing you to archive up to a total of (5) Blu-rays, (5) DVDs, or (5) CDs in a single run!

Coming soon: Don't have the time to sit and use ThinDiscs & perfer a more automated solution? Consider adding multiple BD-Changers to your setup! Each BD-changer processes 100 discs per unit, allowing you to archive up to 400 discs in a single run!

DualRip™ for music CD’s
Great for Audiophiles
To preserve music fidelity, it should be stored in formats like WAV or WMA lossless - but issues w. WMA incompatibility w. players like iPods® & lack of WAV metadata tags appear when music is transferred from one system to another. DualRip™ is the solution.
Auto-archives music to two (2) formats
By default, VidaBox archive music into a 320kBPs MP3, which is balanced between universal compatibility & quality. With DualRip™ activated, it'll process the CD again to store it into a different music share in a lossless format - such as WAV or WMA lossless.
Perfect for Convenience and Compatibility
Hi-Fi versions of the music are accessible by VidaBox systems for pristine, pure, lossless playback. Non-VidaBox systems & users who access the server can access the Lo-Fi version of the songs to sync up iPods®, laptops, etc. - with no file compatibility issues!
Rich Metadata Auto-tagging
High Resolution cover art & detailed metadata
When movies & music is archived & tagged, not only is basic cover art & title info downloaded, but also the genre, cast, audio & subtitle info, biographies, & more for movies, while CDs have track info, playtimes, composer info, release date, & more!
Searches via multiple music databases
VidaBox doesn't search on just one database - we use GD3, MusicBrainz, and FreeDB. On our extenders, AMG automatically inserts missing metadata (where applicable). If it can't find your title on a database, it jumps to the next one until it's found!
Open platform, international movies database
VidaBox works w. a huge, international community of contributors that actively update the open platform "My Movies" database, allowing us to provide strong support for American & overseas titles from Europe, Australia, and other countries across the globe
